Job summary

CMC, located in Summerville, SC, seeks an experienced maintenance supervisor to lead a team in maintaining plant equipment and facilities. You will coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot complex systems, and ensure accurate records while collaborating with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, a solid maintenance background, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience leading maintenance teams and evaluating performance.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach maintenance technicians, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all plant equipment and facilities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.
• Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and equipment documentation.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues.
• Recommend equipment upgrades, modifications, or process improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and safety programs.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Need

• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills in an industrial or recycling environment
• Leadership and team management skills, including coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluation
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Experience with automated or computerized manufacturing equipment preferred

Your Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of three (3) years of industrial maintenance experience OR a technical degree in a related field
