Job summary

Commercial Metals is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Martinsburg, WV. The role involves performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on plant equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

You will support preventive maintenance programs and collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, a vocational degree is a plus, and experience reading schematics and manuals.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in an industrial setting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking and reporting.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and parts inventory.
• Follow safety procedures and regulatory requirements during activities.
• Partner with production teams to quickly resolve equipment issues and support continuous operations.

What You'll Do

What You'll Need

• Knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment, and safe work practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking, work orders, and reporting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
• Ability to work in a concrete manufacturing environment and perform physical job duties, including standing, walking, climbing ladders, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Your Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
