Job summary

Commercial Metals is hiring for a heavy industrial maintenance role where you will service and repair critical equipment across our manufacturing and fabricating sites. You could operate cranes, run processing lines, and troubleshoot complex electrical and hydraulic systems with a focus on reducing downtime and maintaining safety.

The position requires 2–4+ years in heavy industrial maintenance, strong electrical and mechanical skills, and the ability to work in high heat and dusty environments.

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years in heavy industrial maintenance.
• Experience with motors, drives, PLC basics, and 480V systems.
• Hydraulics and mechanical systems knowledge.
• Overhead crane experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair equipment including overhead cranes, conveyors, heaters, pumps, and hydraulics.
• Troubleshoot quickly to minimize downtime on a continuous process line.
• Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance.
• Support rapid breakdown recovery and identify root causes.
• Work directly with operations during production.
• Maintain work orders, parts tracking, and failure documentation.
• Improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Provide fabrication and welding support as needed.

Your Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
