Job summary

CMC is seeking a maintenance technician to perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on machinery, equipment, and plant facilities. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to identify and resolve issues and assist in installation, setup, and calibration of new or repaired equipment.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills in an industrial or recycling environment.
• Knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Basic computer skills for work orders, maintenance tracking, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on machinery, equipment, and plant facilities
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to identify and resolve issues
• Assist in installation, setup, and calibration of new or repaired equipment
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, including service logs and parts inventory
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental standards
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to quickly resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime
