• Be on-call 24/7; work in extreme conditions and lift up to 25 lbs.

Directs and supervises Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Supervisors and all maintenance activities within the manufacturing facility. Ensures operations run safely and cost-effectively by leading preventative maintenance, facility shutdowns, KPI management, and team leadership.

Responsibilities & Requirements

• Maintenance Leadership: Direct, train, and back up Mechanical and Electrical Supervisors; oversee plant maintenance teams and ensure compliance with safety and operational rules.
• Planning & Shutdowns: Plan preventative maintenance, submit purchasing requisitions, and lead teams during weekly and annual maintenance shutdowns.
• Budgeting & Performance: Participate in the annual budgeting process and manage maintenance KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
• HR & Employee Relations: Partner with HR on hiring, discipline, investigations, workplace safety/workers' compensation cases, and labor relations.
• Work Demands: Available for 24/7 on-call response. Physical requirements include working in extreme temperatures, at heights, and in dirty/dusty mill environments; walking long distances, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting up to 25 lbs.

Key Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment; steel mill or rod mill experience preferred.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
• Technical Mastery: Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting background; ability to use mechanical, electrical, and computer tools.
• Leadership & Software: Proven leadership and teamwork skills; proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) with the ability to learn new software.
