Job summary

Vantran-Industries,-Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance operations, ensure equipment reliability, and support production efficiency on the factory floor.

You will supervise Maintenance Technicians, prioritize work orders and preventive maintenance, enforce OSHA safety standards, and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to minimize downtime and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associates/technical degree preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing with 2+ years in supervision.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience using CMMS systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance technicians to execute tasks effectively.
• Plan, assign, and prioritize maintenance work orders and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure all maintenance is safe, efficient, and OSHA-compliant.
• Inspect equipment and facilities, identify issues, and plan corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Quality to minimize downtime.
• Support and enforce preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Review maintenance logs and reports for accuracy.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting for electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical problems.

Summary/Objective

The Maintenance Supervisor oversees daily maintenance operations to ensure equipment reliability, facility safety, and production efficiency. This position is responsible for leading the Maintenance Technicians, prioritizing work orders, coordinating preventive maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Maintenance Supervisor acts as a bridge between hands-on maintenance work and management strategy, ensuring timely repairs and continuous improvement across all maintenance activities.

Essential Functions

• Daily On-Site Attendance.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of Maintenance Technicians to ensure effective execution of maintenance tasks.
• Plan, assign, and prioritize maintenance work orders and preventive maintenance activities.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with OSHA and company safety procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and plan corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to minimize equipment downtime and maximize production uptime.
• Support and enforce the preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Review and approve maintenance logs, records, and reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical guidance to resolve complex electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical problems.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager in developing maintenance schedules, tracking KPIs, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
• Train, coach, and evaluate Maintenance Technicians, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
• Maintain inventory of critical spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance or repairs as needed.
• Participate in Daily Business Review (DBR) and Safety meetings.
• Support capital improvement projects and equipment upgrades as directed by the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

Environment/Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the factory floor and maintenance areas.
• Prolonged periods of walking and standing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to access and service machinery.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with occasional extended hours and weekends as needed to support production operations or equipment emergencies.

Travel is not required for this position.

Education and Experience
