• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and guide teams.
• Conduct safety meetings and safety reviews to ensure compliance.
• Drive root cause analysis to eliminate recurring failures.
• Manage manpower, scheduling, vacation coverage, and daily work assignments per labor agreement.
• Foster positive relationships with union employees while maintaining accountability.
• Partner with operations and engineering to improve productivity, quality, and delivery.

What You'll Be Doing

As the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll oversee a unionized maintenance crew while providing technical leadership and hands-on troubleshooting support.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise electricians and mechanics in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Coordinate and prioritize planned, preventative, predictive, and emergency maintenance activities.
• Support production by minimizing downtime and improving equipment reliability.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues and guide teams toward effective solutions.
• Conduct safety meetings and job-specific safety reviews in an effort to ensure compliance with all safety standards.
• Drive root cause analysis and rapid problem-solving efforts to eliminate recurring equipment failures.
• Manage manpower, scheduling, vacation coverage, and daily work assignments within labor agreement guidelines.
• Foster a positive relationship with union employees while maintaining accountability and performance expectations.
• Partner with operations and engineering teams to improve productivity, quality, recovery, and delivery performance
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience
• 2+ years of supervisory experience leading maintenance teams
• Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical and electrical systems
• Experience working in manufacturing, heavy industrial, metals, paper, chemical, automotive, or similar environments
• Ability to lead teams through planned and unplanned maintenance challenges

Preferred Experience

• Union leadership experience
• Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement Experience
• Knowledge of labor agreements and workforce planning
• Experience supervising electricians and mechanics
