Job summary

Friedman Real Estate is seeking an on-site Maintenance Supervisor for Parkview Ridge Apartments in Shelby Township, MI. The role requires 4–5 years of maintenance experience in multi-family properties and at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity, with HVAC certification strongly preferred.

You will oversee maintenance and grounds staff, manage preventative maintenance, work with vendors on contracts and capital projects, and prepare units for make-ready turns.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of maintenance experience in multi-family/residential properties and 1-2 years in a supervisor capacity.
• HVAC certification is a plus or required.
• Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and be able to travel to other properties.
• Must have a basic set of tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and grounds personnel.
• Oversee ongoing maintenance needs, including preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Coordinate with vendors for contracted services and capital projects.
• Prepare apartments for make-ready turns.
• Complete work orders for service requests (plumbing, carpentry, light electrical).
• Be on-call for after-hours emergencies.
• Snow removal and grounds maintenance.
• Maintain HVAC and other mechanical systems.

Job Details: Job Location: Parkview Ridge Apartments - Shelby Township, MI 48317, Do you have at least 4 yearsof on-site maintenance work experience in Multi-Family/Residential properties and at least 1 year of supervisory experience? As Maintenance Supervisor at you will be responsible for overseeing maintenance and grounds personnel, overseeing maintenance and preventative maintenanceneeds, working with vendors, prepping apartments for make-ready turns, completing work service requests, and preventative maintenance and repair on HVAC systems. HVAC Certification is REQUIRED for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee other maintenance and grounds personnel.
• Oversee ongoing maintenance needs, including preventative maintenance and repairs, etc.
• Working with the vendors for contracted services, including capital improvement projects.
• Prepping apartments for make-ready turns
• General maintenance duties as necessary
• On-call; respond to after-hour emergency calls
• Snow removal and maintenance of grounds, including common areas
• Preventative maintenance and repair on HVAC and other mechanical systems
• Completing work orders for service requests, including plumbing, carpentry, light electrical

Qualifications:

• Have complete grasp of on-site maintenance management.
• 4 -5 years of maintenance experience in multi-family/residential properties and at least 1-2 years in a supervisor capacity.
• Have detailed knowledge of make ready unit turns, including light carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
• HVAC certification is a plus.
• Must have a valid drivers license, reliable transportation, automotive insurance, and be able to travel to other properties, if needed.
• Must have basic set of tools.
• Be responsible and reliable.
• Have a positive, get the job done attitude.
