Zusammenfassung

Canyon Fuel Company – Fossil Rock Mine is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee underground coal mining maintenance projects and personnel. You will coordinate with the Shift Supervisor to ensure safe, reliable equipment operation and efficient processes.

The role requires a strong safety record, 5+ years of underground mining maintenance, and supervisory experience. Utah Mine Foreman Certification or ability to obtain within a year, plus MSHA Electrical Certification, are preferred.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years underground coal mining maintenance experience.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong safety and attendance record.
• Utah Mine Foreman Certification or ability to obtain within 1 year; MSHA Electrical Certification.

Job Location: Canyon Fuel Company – Fossil Rock Mine

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance of equipment and processes by maximizing the effective utilization of the resources provided.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Supervise and provide direction to hourly employees in continuous miner, longwall maintenance and/or utility work.
• Plans, organizes, schedules and coordinates with Shift Supervisor all maintenance and/or utility projects.
• Supervises all aspects of safe and efficient maintenance of equipment and processes.
• Implements and maintains compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
• Task training of personnel as required.

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of five (5) years of underground coal mining maintenance experience
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent communications skills both written and oral
• Excellent safety and attendance record
• Utah Mine Foreman Certification or Fireboss & can obtain Utah Mine Foreman Certification with 1 year.
• MSHA Electrical Certification
• Willingness to work needed hours in addition to regular mine schedule.
