Job summary

Canyon Fuel Company – Fossil Rock Mine is seeking an experienced Mine Maintenance Supervisor to safely oversee underground and surface maintenance activities supporting mining operations. You will lead the Surface/UG Electrical and Maintenance programs, set department goals, and monitor progress while coordinating with other departments.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a solid safety record.

Qualifications

Minimum five years of progressive supervisory experience (Coordinator or above).
Demonstrated ability to lead others and work with others.
Mech. Eng., Mining Eng., or technical field preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
Excellent safety and attendance record.

Responsibilities

Develops and establishes safety action plans, pre-work examinations and internal safety monitoring.
Lead Surface and Underground Electrical and Maintenance programs; set goals and monitor progress.
Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments and investigate root causes of failures to prevent production delays.
Ensure compliance with Federal and state regulations, control operating costs and maintain a union-free operation.
