Job summary

Canyon Fuel Company – Fossil Rock Mine in Utah seeks a Maintenance Supervisor responsible for safe and efficient maintenance of equipment and processes by maximizing resource utilization. You will supervise hourly workers in continuous miner/longwall maintenance, plan and coordinate projects with the Shift Supervisor, and ensure compliance with safety policies.

Certification requirements include Utah Mine Foreman or Fireboss with ability to obtain Utah Mine Foreman within 1 year and MSHA

Qualifications

Underground coal mine maintenance leadership experience.
Active Utah Mine Foreman Certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.
MSHA Electrical Certification.
Strong safety and attendance record.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Supervise hourly employees in continuous miner, longwall maintenance and/or utility work.
Plans, organizes, schedules and coordinates with Shift Supervisor all maintenance and/or utility projects.
Supervises all aspects of safe and efficient maintenance of equipment and processes.
Implements and maintains compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
Task training of personnel as required.
