Job summary

Wolverine Fuels, LLC is a leading coal producer with operations at Fossil Rock. The role involves underground and surface maintenance tasks performed safely and efficiently, complying with regulatory standards and working with peers and supervisors.

The position requires physical ability, the use of hand tools, and willingness to work a 4-on/4-off rotation at Fossil Rock, a seven-day operation with initial parking constraints and remote transportation arrangements.

Qualifications

• Industrial/mining maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to comprehend equipment schematics, blueprints.
• Technical degree will be considered a plus.
• MSHA low, medium and high voltage electrical certification or ability to obtain.
• Proficient use of hand tools associated with maintenance activities.

• Comply with Federal and State regulations
• Work effectively with peers and supervisors
• Effective communications (oral and written)
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds frequently
• Ability to traverse uneven surfaces, work overhead, climb and use hand tools on regular intervals
• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays as needed
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pulling and extending
• Ability to work in damp, and somewhat dark environment associated with an underground coal mine

Overall Job Purpose

POSITION WILL REPORT TO: Maintenance Supervisor

Fossil Rock is a 7-day a week operation and will be a 4 on 4 off rotation as the mine continues to grow. Initial parking is sparse and will move into remote parking location for transportation to and from Fossil Rock.
