Job summary

Canyon Fuel Company – Fossil Rock Mine is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee underground coal mining maintenance projects and personnel. You will coordinate with the Shift Supervisor to ensure safe, reliable equipment operation and efficient processes.

The role requires a strong safety record, 5+ years of underground mining maintenance, and supervisory experience. Utah Mine Foreman Certification or ability to obtain within a year, plus MSHA Electrical Certification, are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years underground coal mining maintenance experience.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong safety and attendance record.
• Utah Mine Foreman Certification or ability to obtain within 1 year; MSHA Electrical Certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct hourly employees in maintenance and/or utility work.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate maintenance projects with Shift Supervisor.
• Ensure safe and efficient maintenance of equipment and processes.
• Enforce safety policies and procedures.
• Provide task training as required.
