Job summary

Canyon Fuel Company - Fossil Rock Mine is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to safely oversee underground and surface maintenance activities that support mining and coal movement.

Responsibilities include leading all electrical and maintenance programs, setting department goals, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring cost controls while maintaining a union-free operation. A strong safety record and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive supervisory experience in mining or heavy industry.
• Ability to lead teams and work cross-functionally.
• Engineering degree or technical background in mining or related field.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Strong safety record and compliance with MSHA/Utah regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develops safety action plans, pre-work examinations and internal safety monitoring.
• Manage Predictive maintenance program using vibration, thermal, ultrasound, and oil analysis.
• Lead Surface and UG Electrical and Maintenance programs; set goals for the department.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments and prevent production delays.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/company regulations; maintain a union-free operation.
