Norsk Hydro is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor at its Hydro Extrusions facility in Cressona, PA. This role directs maintenance and repair of machines and tools, guiding a team to meet production demands while improving equipment reliability and safety.

You will design and implement preventive maintenance, oversee scheduling, and mentor less experienced teammates, ensuring adherence to the manufacturing schedule and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in an industrial manufacturing setting.
• Technical understanding across electrical, mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics.

What you will be doing

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for directing and assisting in installation, maintenance, and repair of machines, tools, and equipment. This role has responsibility in executing work priorities to team members based on production demands/needs, directs team members on scheduling repairs, maintenance and installation of machines, tools and equipment, supports product development and improvements.

Duties include:

• Assists in the design, implementation, and modifications of preventative maintenance programs
• Resolves maintenance problems by conferring with management, engineering, and quality as needed.
• Oversee, direct and schedule maintenance team and activities in adherence to the manufacturing schedule.
• Ensure proper preventative maintenance is completed, training is executed to team members, and safety measures are adhered to.
• Ability to troubleshoot, perform root-cause analysis, repair, rebuild and/or replace manufacturing and facilities equipment and systems.
• Assist in developing the technical capabilities and skills of less experience team members as needed and appropriate.
• Update SOP’s and work instructions as needed.

Required:

• 2+ years in an industrial manufacturing setting
• Technical understanding and ability across a broad spectrum of technical areas (electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.)
• Capability to learn the CMMS, Oracle and other programs related to this assignment

Preferred:

• High degree of knowledge of extrusion equipment and processes preferred
