Job summary

Hydro is seeking a Remelt Maintenance Supervisor to direct installation, maintenance and repair of equipment in our heavy industrial environment. You will guide the maintenance team, schedule repairs and support product development while ensuring safety and adherence to the manufacturing schedule.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in mechanical/electrical maintenance with prior leadership, HS Diploma, and strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics; familiarity with CMMS

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of mechanical or electrical maintenance in heavy industrial/foundry environments with some leadership experience
• HS Diploma or equivalent required
• Strong technical understanding across mechanical/electrical hydraulics and pneumatics

Responsibilities

• Direct and assist in installation, maintenance and repair of machines, tools and equipment according to production demands
• Lead scheduling of repairs and maintenance; oversee maintenance team and activities
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
• Troubleshoot, perform root-cause analysis and repair/manufacture equipment or systems
• Update SOPs and work instructions; maintain tool and part inventories
• Coordinate with management, engineering and quality on maintenance issues
• Ensure safety measures are followed and training is provided to team members
• Maintain accurate work orders and paperwork

What you will be doing

Job Summary:

The Remelt Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for directing and assisting in installation, maintenance, and repair of machines, tools, and equipment. This role has responsibility in executing work priorities to team members based on production demands/needs, directs team members on scheduling repairs, maintenance and installation of machines, tools and equipment, supports product development and improvements

• Assists in the design, implementation, and modifications of preventative maintenance programs.
• Resolves maintenance problems by conferring with management, engineering, and quality as needed.
• Oversee, direct and schedule maintenance team and activities in adherence to the manufacturing schedule.
• Ensure proper preventative maintenance is completed, training is executed to team members, and safety measures are adhered to.
• Troubleshoot, perform root-cause analysis, repair, rebuild and/or replace manufacturing and facilities equipment and systems.
• Assist in developing the technical capabilities and skills of less experience team members as needed and appropriate.
• Update SOP’s and work instructions as needed.
• Complete all paperwork neatly and accurately (ie: work orders).
• Maintain proper inventory of tools, supplies, spare parts, and other equipment to perform job duties

What will make you successful?

Required:

3 to 5+ years of mechanical or electrical maintenance in a heavy industrial or foundry environment, often with prior leadership experience

H.S. Diploma

Preferred:

• Strong technical understanding across a wide range of areas, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to learn and utilize CMMS, Oracle, and other relevant software for this role.
• Preferred knowledge of extrusion equipment and processes
