Job summary

Drucker + Falk is seeking a Service Manager/Maintenance Superintendent to oversee the physical upkeep of the community. You will supervise maintenance staff, operate all mechanical equipment, and ensure timely completion of work orders while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Based in Richmond, VA, this full-time role requires on-call emergency coverage, preventive maintenance programs, budgeting adherence, and coordination of contractors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• CFC certification preferred.
• HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical skills beneficial.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise maintenance staff.
• Hire/terminate staff per policy and under Property Manager direction.
• Maintain safety and document safety trainings.
• Inspect buildings and grounds for preventative maintenance.
• Ensure 24-hour coverage for emergencies and respond to on-call requests.
• Manage budgets and purchasing directives.
• Coordinate contractors and obtain bids.
