Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory seeks a Superintendent to oversee sophisticated electrical and mechanical facilities and systems. You will drive improvements, deliver quality work on schedule, and minimize costs while maximizing mission-critical capabilities.

The role requires coordinating with Facilities Management, Engineering, Planning, Project Management, and Procurement, and maintaining safety and security training as an integral part of every task.

Qualifications

• Ability to execute maintenance work activities including work control and upgrades.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Experience identifying problems, evaluating solutions, and determining actions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repairs of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting).
• Plan and supervise maintenance staff schedules and assignments.
• Coordinate with Facilities Management, Engineering, Planning, Project Management, and Procurement.
• Ensure safety training and security compliance are integrated into tasks.
