Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory seeks a Facility Maintenance Tech 4 to support the Life Safety Program at the MSS-LFO. The role focuses on inspections, maintenance, and ensuring NFPA 10 compliance across lab facilities, with documentation in Mobile Work Package and eSOMS.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and 4–6 years of related experience, strong computer skills, and knowledge of CMMS systems; OSHA safety practices and effective communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires familiarity with NFPA 10 and life safety maintenance.
• Experience tracking preventive and corrective work orders from initiation to completion.
• Proficient with MS Office and able to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Participate in LFO Life Safety inspections and maintenance.
• Assist planning, scheduling, and execution of inspections and maintenance.
• Coordinate access to life safety equipment in facilities.
• Document work using Mobile Work Package and eSOMS for status tracking and deficiencies.
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment per LANL policies.
• Ensure work aligns with job scope and quality standards.
• Support maintenance tasks as directed by line management.
