Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator in Houston to plan and manage the shop work plan, schedule preventative maintenance, and coordinate outside repairs.

You will work with customers to provide updates and resolve service issues, and ensure parts availability for scheduled work. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of customer service and hands-on mechanical experience, plus supervisory exposure.

Qualifications

• 2 years of customer service experience required.
• At least 1 year of hands on mechanical experience required.
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of service department administration preferred.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Prior experience with service scheduling programs and diagnostic programs preferred.
• Must understand and comply with Penske policies and safety rules.
• Willingness to travel and pass background/drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily and weekly workforce plans balancing customer needs, repairs, parts, and technician skills.
• Communicate maintenance updates and billing concerns with customers.
• Ensure Penske Rental units are maintained and prepared for customers.
• Coordinate with district billing clerks as necessary.
• Ensure parts are available for scheduled work.
• Hold vendors accountable for quality and schedule adherence.
• Provide excellent customer service to encourage repeat business.
• Maintain shop productivity by optimizing the work plan.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
