Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator to schedule preventative maintenance, coordinate outside repairs, and manage the shop work plan at the Cranston, RI facility. You will work with customers to provide updates, address billing concerns, and resolve service issues.

The role requires hands-on mechanical experience, customer service background, and supervisory exposure, with alignment to Penske safety policies.

Qualifications

• 2 years of customer service experience.
• At least 1 year of hands on mechanical experience.
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of service department administration preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates Degree, Technical School Degree, or Bachelors Degree preferred.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Prior experience with service scheduling programs and diagnostic programs preferred.
• Must comply with Penske safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily and weekly workforce plans by factoring customer needs, repairs, parts, skills and hours to maximize service and productivity.
• Communicate with customers for maintenance updates and schedule changes, billing concerns, or issues.
• Ensure Penske Rental units are maintained and prepared for customers.
• Ensure parts are available for scheduled work.
• Hold vendors accountable for quality and schedule for outside work.
• Provide customer service to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Maintain shop productivity by optimizing the work plan.
• Coordinate with district billing clerks as necessary.
• Assist with other projects as assigned by supervisor.
