Job summary

Sonoco Hartsville Converting Operations is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Reliability Technician II-III to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime. You will execute preventive/predictive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems, and drive improvements with SPS/TPM initiatives.

Reporting to the Plant Engineer, you will participate in proactive maintenance, document work for historical data, and collaborate with operations to ensure safety,

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance or related technical field.
• 6+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
• 6+ years of military experience in a technical work field.
• Testing: Mechanical and Electrical Minimizer testing and WorkKeys Maintenance testing.

Responsibilities

• Installing and maintaining auxiliary equipment as required by production.
• Maintaining and repairing utility and facility-related equipment as directed by the Plant Engineer.
• Assisting training other maintenance personnel with repairs, PMs, and rebuilds.
• Collaborating with other departments for proactive problem resolutions.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Managing small projects to maintain or upgrade equipment.
• Performing duties in support of Sonoco’s quality and safety policies.
