Job summary

DFA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to direct and oversee the maintenance team in a manufacturing setting in Belvidere, IL. You will drive safe, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance across all assets, coordinating predictive and preventive programs and ensuring regulatory adherence.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on supervision, and the ability to use SAP for planning and execution.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2–5 years of maintenance or related experience with leadership exposure.
Experience leading and following safety policies and procedures.
Electrical, welding, boiler, refrigeration, compressed air, wastewater, or plumbing licenses or certificates preferred.

Responsibilities

Prioritize and assign daily jobs and work orders and provide clear direction to maintenance employees.
Oversee pass down issues and monitor activities for efficient and safe operation.
Implement predictive/preventive maintenance to extend asset life and reduce downtime.
Use SAP to plan tasks with time, parts, and descriptions and manage downtime scheduling.
Ensure staff understands work practices and procedures; complete maintenance work orders on time.
Support and monitor preventative maintenance programs and adjust as needed.
Serve as first point of contact for emergency maintenance requests.
Oversee repairs and maintenance of plant equipment; develop maintenance procedures.
Complete record keeping in databases and CMMS; assist in root-cause analysis for breakdowns.
