Job summary

DFA is seeking a Maintenance Department Manager to lead and direct a qualified team responsible for maintaining all equipment and facilities in a safe, efficient condition. You will drive maintenance strategy, oversee staffing, and coordinate with engineering to optimize assets and reduce downtime.

The role requires an undergraduate degree and 5–8 years in maintenance or mechanical roles with leadership experience, preferably in dairy operations. GMP compliance and safety adherence are essential.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent.
• 5–8 years in maintenance, mechanical engineering, or related field with leadership experience.
• Dairy manufacturing experience preferred; familiarity with GMP and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance department to ensure safe, efficient operation of equipment and facilities.
• Direct recruitment, performance evaluations, and staff development within HR policies.
• Develop and manage predictive/preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and costs.
• Coordinate with engineering to optimize equipment and manage parts inventory and budgets.
• Ensure SAP-based task planning and downtime scheduling aligns with plant operations.
• Stay current with industry regulations and implement best practices in maintenance.
