Job summary

Bunge is seeking a Reliability Excellence Planner in Destrehan, LA to improve workforce productivity and work quality by eliminating delays through proper planning of required materials, procedures and resources for maintenance work.

The planner is responsible for planning all maintenance work in the assigned area, maintaining records for meaningful analysis and reporting, and ensuring timely completion of tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 year vocational or technical degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience as a plant maintenance worker, millwright or electrician.
• Ability to estimate labor hours and materials and visualize a job to completion.
• Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings.
• Strong mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and screens each work order to ensure proper filling.
• Develops and maintains planned and predictive maintenance procedures.
• Examines jobs to determine best way to accomplish the work.
• Identifies and obtains materials, special tools and equipment needed to complete the work.
• Determines if critical items are in stock by verifying availability.
• Estimates cost of each work order including direct labor and materials.
• Develops a file of standard work orders for regularly recurring repair jobs.
• Reviews with maintenance area management actual labor expended versus estimates.
• Conducts informal training of maintenance personnel regarding procedures and software.
• Reviews completed work orders for completeness and updates machinery history data.
• Understands methods to replace or maintain typical mechanical equipment (conveyors, pumps, etc.)
