Job summary

NOV in San Antonio, TX is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner for our manufacturing facilities. This on-site role focuses on planning preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinating with production, and ensuring parts availability for timely work execution.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in maintenance planning, CMMS experience, and strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems, with proficiency in Excel and a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in a related field; 3–5 years in maintenance planning or supervision.
• Experience with CMMS software and maintenance planning best practices.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic system knowledge.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and data reporting.
• CMRP, APICS or Lean/Six Sigma certs are a plus.
• Predictive maintenance and TPM/RCM knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance using the Max Maintenance system.
• Review, prioritize, and validate maintenance work requests for completeness and accuracy.
• Develop detailed job plans with labor estimates, tools, materials, permits, drawings, and safety.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with production to minimize disruptions.
• Maintain and optimize preventive maintenance programs based on reliability.
• Create and maintain BOMs, procedures, and equipment documentation.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Storeroom to ensure parts availability.
• Monitor backlog and prioritize by criticality, safety, compliance, and needs.
• Support shutdowns and major projects with detailed planning.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and maintenance standards.
• Generate maintenance KPIs and reports for management.
• Assist in developing annual maintenance budgets and forecasting resources.
