Job summary

Ashland Inc. seeks a Maintenance Scheduling professional at our Texas City plant to plan and coordinate maintenance work across preventive, predictive, and project activities. You will verify readiness, publish daily/weekly schedules, and resolve conflicts with operations and vendors.

You will maintain CMMS records, monitor backlog and material readiness, and support shutdowns. Strong organization, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Three+ years in industrial maintenance scheduling or planning.
• Experience with CMMS/ERP and inventory management.
• Knowledge of maintenance work management and backlog control.
• Ability to read BOMs, drawings, and vendor quotes.
• Strong organization, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Willingness to work in office, warehouse, shop and plant environments.

Responsibilities

• Review planned work orders for readiness: labor, duration, permits, and tools.
• Develop and publish daily/weekly maintenance schedules.
• Facilitate schedule review meetings and resolve resource conflicts.
• Coordinate schedule execution and monitor backlogs and material readiness.
• Prepare purchase requisitions/POs for non-stock materials and services.
• Expedite critical orders and communicate material risks affecting schedules.
• Maintain CMMS records and track key metrics like schedule compliance.
• Support shutdowns and turnarounds with schedule integration and materials.
