Job summary

Vallourec North America in Houston seeks an experienced maintenance planner to develop and manage maintenance schedules for outages and routine tasks, coordinating with production and maintenance teams.

You will monitor SAP and CMMS, manage spare parts, analyze reports, and support safety and reliability initiatives while mentoring technicians and coordinating contractors.

A strong background in planning, with 10+ years in manufacturing, and proficiency in SAP/CMMS, are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred.
• 10+ years in manufacturing or heavy industrial equipment with strong planning/scheduling background.
• Proficient in SAP and CMMS systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical documents and procedures.
• Strong mathematical and reasoning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage maintenance schedules for outages and routine tasks.
• Coordinate predictive and preventive maintenance activities.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance jobs and projects with production teams.
• Monitor SAP and CMMS for accurate work orders, technician workload, and equipment trends.
• Accountable for spare parts management, including kit building and warehousing.
• Requisition materials and advise inventory control on usage.
• Maintain equipment information and repair files.
• Generate and analyze reports (cost, delay, monthly performance).
• Review daily equipment inspections and ensure follow-up work orders are completed.
• Serve as a technical resource for maintenance supervisors.
• Assist in hiring, counseling, and performance-related actions as needed.
