Job summary

TekWissen is seeking a Maintenance Scheduler for a 12-month onsite assignment in Sabine Pass, TX. The role focuses on developing and managing maintenance schedules, coordinating equipment availability, manpower, and contractor support to ensure safe, timely execution.

Minimum 5+ years in maintenance scheduling within Oil & Gas or petrochemical facilities is required. Proficiency with SAP S/4HANA and Prometheus is essential, with strong planning and reporting capabilities.

• Extensive knowledge of SAP S/4HANA required; Prometheus experience a must.
• Strong scheduling and execution process knowledge; ability to liaison with maintenance teams.

Job Description

• The Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for developing and managing routine maintenance schedules to enable the efficient execution of maintenance activities.
• This role ensures the creation of methodical, well-structured schedules that optimize workforce utilization through maximum time on tools.
• The position coordinates equipment availability, manpower, materials, contractor support, and job oversight to deliver seamless, integrated plans that support safe and timely execution.
• The Maintenance Scheduler receives administrative work guidance and career development through the Maintenance organization.

Technical Leadership

• Able to apply advanced functions of scheduling tools.
• Integrate schedules with adequate adjacencies with optimizing schedule impact.
• Prepare resource planning in coordination with Maintenance and Operations leadership.
• Identify potential constraints/deficiencies/trends impacting the schedule and recommend corrective actions.
• Reliability and Optimization:
• Analyze and optimize scheduling frequency.
• Sequencing of activities for optimization and resource utilization.
• Balance resource allocation to maximize equipment uptime (resource levelling).
• Assist with development of KPI s and produce reports on schedule compliance, with emphasis in maintenance/inspection regulatory compliance.
• This will include analysis of deviations, variations, and trends with graphical representations

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure maintenance schedules comply with regulatory, industry, and OEM requirements.
• Ensure proper documentation.

Mentorship & Training

• Train maintenance planners and technicians in scheduling best practices.
• Share knowledge on scheduling software utilization and workflow optimization.
• Develop competency frameworks for scheduling roles.

Innovation & Technology

• Implement digital tools for automated scheduling and resource planning.
• Explore AI-driven predictive scheduling solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement through technology adoption.

Minimum Education Required Of The Position

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED. Technical Degree or similar is a plus.
• Minimum experience required of the position:
• 5 plus years of maintenance scheduling experience utilizing routine maintenance, in the Oil and Gas, or petrochemical facilities.
• Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:
• Business and Technical Skills Required:
• Extensive working knowledge of SAP S4 HANA.
• Prometheus experience is must.
• Strong knowledge and experience in Scheduling and Execution processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of the various types of equipment in the facility.
• Scheduling software definition and build experience is a plus.
• A strong working relationship and collaborative partner in the interactions of maintenance activities and performance in conjunction with reliable sustained operations.

Competency Skills Required

• Experience with software such as MS project, Prometheus and / or Primavera P6 is a plus.
• Scheduling small to medium to large scale projects.
• Experience with scaffolding, painting, insulation, heavy equipment operation-rigging/lifting crafts, welding, fabrication, machining work estimation and planning.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience working in a PHMSA regulated facility preferred.
