Job summary

TekWissen Group is seeking a Mechanical Planner for an onsite assignment in Sabine Pass, TX. The role requires SAP and SAP S/4HANA experience, and a solid background in planning for packaged equipment and rotating machinery such as steam turbines, compressors, generators, and related systems.

You will create and maintain maintenance and reliability plans, coordinate work orders, develop look-ahead schedules, and support budget and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED; technical degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience utilizing SAP in Oil & Gas or petrochemical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of planning, scheduling and execution processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Experience with project planning software such as MS Project or Primavera P6 is a plus.
• PHMSA regulated pipeline facility experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan maintenance and reliability programs for the asset.

• Prioritize work for fast response, backlog maintenance and cost control.
• Create job packs with all information for job plans.
• Coordinate development of work orders and schedules with Operations and Maintenance.
• Develop weekly/monthly schedules and look-ahead plans with Supervisors, Engineering and Technicians.
• Dispatch work and manage manpower availability with supervision.
• Provide CMMS technical support and ensure documentation for work orders.
• Identify material requirements and interface with vendor or supply chain.
• Assist in KPI development and reporting on schedule compliance.

Description

• The position is identified as Mechanical Planner. Applicants are required to have experience with SAP and S4 Hana.
• Furthermore, a comprehensive understanding of all aspects related to planning for packaged equipment and rotating machinery including steam turbines, gas turbines, compressors, generators, motors, and their associated auxiliary systems.

Essential Duties / Functions

• Planning of maintenance & reliability programs for the asset.
• Create and maintain project and outage plans utilizing planning software.
• Plans and prioritizes work for fast and efficient response, effective backlog maintenance and cost control.
• Creates job packs, including all relevant information for job plans.
• Coordinates the development of work orders and schedules with Operations and Maintenance personnel.
• Develops and completes weekly, monthly, quarterly, look-ahead schedules for expense and upgrade work by working closely with functional supervisors, engineering and technicians.
• Manages the dispatching of work and availability of manpower in coordination with supervision.
• Provides technical support for personnel within the CMMS modules.
• Ensures proper documentation for work orders is in place.
• Identifies material requirements and interfaces with vendor and/or supply chain as needed.
• Assist with development of KPI s and produce reports on schedule compliance, with emphasis in maintenance/inspection regulatory compliance.
• This will include analysis of deviations, variations, and trends with graphical representations
• Requests changes to procedures as required.
• Assists in the writing of procedures as required
• Recommends and implements training to enhance effectiveness of work activities.
• Assists on budget development as required.
• Additional or other duties will be assigned from time to time by the supervision to meet business needs.

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED. Technical Degree or similar is a plus
• 5 plus years of maintenance experience utilizing SAP in the Oil and Gas, or petrochemical facilities
• Heavy working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA
• Strong knowledge and experience in Planning, Scheduling and Execution processes, procedures, and best practices
• Scheduling software definition and build experience is a plus
• Prometheus experience is preferred
• Experience with project planning software such as MS project or Primavera P6 is a plus
• Experience with scaffolding, painting, insulating, heavy equipment operation-rigging/lifting crafts, welding, fabrication, machining work estimation and planning.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience working in a PHMSA regulated Pipeline facility preferred
• Experience with gas compression and metering equipment preferred
• Ability to prioritize work activities accordingly.
