Job summary

Georgia-Pacific's Muskogee Mill in Oklahoma is seeking a Maintenance Operations Coordinator (Gatekeeper) to connect Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Reliability teams. The role owns backlog, planning, and asset strategies to drive value through disciplined execution.

You will lead maintenance planning, prioritize work, and coach planners while improving scheduling and reliability. This position focuses on safety, cost control, and continuous improvement within a large paper mill

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial or military environment.
• Experience using financial and equipment data, metrics, or performance trends to support decision making.
• Experience managing spend plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the department to continuously improve safety and environmental performance.
• Develop and own the annual department spend plan and connect employees to department objectives.
• Own and manage maintenance work request, planning, and executable backlogs.
• Lead area maintenance prioritization efforts to ensure the right work is completed at the right time.
• Coach and develop maintenance planners while improving planning and scheduling processes.
• Identify opportunities to eliminate high-maintenance, high-cost, or unreliable assets through improved maintenance practices and asset strategies.
• Coordinate with Area Operations Leaders and Area Reliability Leaders to align maintenance priorities, operating plans, reliability initiatives, and outage strategies.
• Utilize root cause analysis and other problem-solving tools to resolve reliability, maintenance, and operational issues.
• Support area reliability improvement efforts through preventative, predictive, and precision maintenance practices.
• Provide technical support and reliability expertise to operating areas.
• Monitor maintenance performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
