Job summary

Georgia-Pacific's Plattsburgh mill seeks a Maintenance & Engineering Leader to guide maintenance, reliability, and capital-investment strategies. You will partner with operations to drive asset performance and lead a 1-, 3-, and 5-year capital plan, while developing talent and transforming the site’s long-term strategy.

You will oversee budgets, champion reliability initiatives, and manage capital projects to deliver long-term value, safety, and operational excellence in a large tissue and paper

Qualifications

• Experience supervising maintenance, engineering, reliability, or capital-project teams.
• Experience developing reliability initiatives or continuous-improvement programs.
• Experience managing budgets, capital investments, or resources to meet objectives.
• Experience using operational and financial data to drive decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance, engineering, and reliability strategies for safe, reliable plant operations.
• Develop and execute the site's 1-, 3-, and 5-year asset and capital-investment roadmap.
• Partner with operations and plant leadership to identify reliability improvements and projects.
• Lead capital-project development and execution to improve equipment lifecycle performance.
• Drive maintenance-work-process excellence including planning, scheduling, backlog management, and continuous improvement.
• Use financial and operational data to prioritize resources and manage spending.
• Develop and coach engineering and maintenance talent and build leadership depth.
• Maintain a visible field presence to support problem solving and verify execution.
