Job summary

Roseburg Forest Products in Springfield, Oregon seeks a Maintenance Planner to support a manufacturing operation. You will plan and schedule preventive and predictive maintenance using the CMMS, coordinating with maintenance, purchasing and production to meet mill needs.

Responsibilities include developing job plans with safety instructions, prioritizing work, tracking open and past-due orders, and generating reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in manufacturing as a Millwright, Electrician, or equivalent technical trade.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read blueprints and some drafting.
• Experience with CMMS and maintenance planning.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Willing to attend additional training with passing grades.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules in the CMMS.
• Collaborate with all departments to translate work requirements into clear achievable plans.
• Work directly with maintenance and purchasing to plan and prioritize maintenance work.
• Plan maintenance tasks as well as shutdowns and other project work.
• Follow the planning process as outlined in the Reliability Playbook.
• Prepare job plans for maintenance work in the mill, with safety instructions and special precautions.
• Attend the daily approval meeting and the weekly partner meeting.
• Coordinate with purchasing to ensure parts availability.
• Maintain maintenance and equipment records and generate reports (e.g., open work orders, past due work orders, completed work orders, labor utilization by work order type, equipment historical cost analysis).
• Track availability of crew resources.
• Provide job estimates as required.
• Coordinate and prioritize planning and maintenance work with production requirements.
• Coordinate the PDM results and use results for planning of required maintenance.
• Model company core values.
