Job summary

Roseburg Forest Products is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Oregon to oversee the mechanical maintenance department, diagnose equipment failures, and lead a team to maintain, repair, and improve plant equipment.

You will manage preventative/predictive maintenance, train staff, control budgets, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with other departments to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ predictive/preventative maintenance experience or equivalent maintenance leadership background.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience or lead roles in manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
• Knowledge of plant equipment and predictive/preventative maintenance systems.
• Familiarity with safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience reading blueprints and basic budgeting/financial analysis.
• Ability to implement change and manage conflicts.
• Proficient computer skills for communication and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and drive continuous improvement toward true safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and maintenance standards.
• Supervise mechanical maintenance personnel and scheduling, assist hiring.
• Schedule and perform preventative/predictive maintenance across systems.
• Oversee inventory and department tools and shop equipment.
• Prepare departmental reports for internal distribution.
• Supervise installation of new equipment.
• Suggest measures to improve production methods and equipment performance.
• Maintain plant fire systems as assigned.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet plant objectives and manage budget.
• Maintain equipment file system with drawings and vendor manuals.
• Keep up with industry tech developments.
• Perform duties safely.
• Perform other duties as necessary.
