Job summary

Roseburg Forest Products in Oregon seeks an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations, diagnose equipment failures, and lead the maintenance team in preventative and predictive programs.

You will drive safety, manage budgets, coordinate with other departments, and implement improvements to equipment performance and production methods.

The role requires strong leadership, problem solving, and knowledge of plant equipment, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ predictive/preventative maintenance experience or equivalent in a manufacturing setting.
• Demonstrated supervisory or lead experience in manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
• Knowledge of plant equipment, operations and predictive/preventative maintenance systems.
• Familiarity with safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use basic budgeting/financial analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical maintenance department, diagnose equipment failures and repair problems.
• Supervise, coordinate and lead maintenance staff; assist with hiring and scheduling.
• Schedule and manage preventative/predictive maintenance across hydraulics, electrical, pneumatics and other systems.
• Maintain inventory control for tools and shop equipment; oversee department records and vendor manuals.
• Prepare departmental reports and monitor department budget; collaborate with other departments for plant objectives.
• Drive safety culture and enforce safety rules across operations.
