Job summary

Safeway is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Planner I in Clackamas, OR to develop and coordinate detailed maintenance plans, schedule preventive maintenance, and minimize downtime across the bread plant. You will manage records, track work orders, and ensure compliance with safety and standards, supporting reliable production.

The role emphasizes CMMS supervision, preventive maintenance development, and collaboration with maintenance and operations teams to sustain high output and quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in manufacturing or packaging.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Project management experience preferred.
• Ability to work off shift and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all aspects of the CMMS in a manufacturing environment.
• Develop, maintain and improve the preventive maintenance program for mechanical and electrical systems.
• Plan and execute maintenance goals within the CMMS and lead equipment revitalization projects.
• Develop training for maintenance staff and electricians in CMMS tooling.
• Manage parts pricing, inventory and budgets with vendors.
• Coordinate with Maintenance and Operations on schedules and parts availability.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to reduce downtime and improve line efficiency.
• Conduct safety trainings and enforce safety procedures.
