Job summary

PROAMPAC in Manistique, MI is seeking a maintenance planning professional to organize and optimize work orders across departments. Qualifications

• Must have professional training in mechanical or a related field; training can include degrees, certifications, or hands‑on apprenticeships.
• Clear oral and written communication skills.
• Some manufacturing experience preferred but not required if skills meet needs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook Suite.
• Experience with FIIX a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains liaison with Operations, Stores, Engineering, Maintenance, Electrical & Instrumentation, and other departments to achieve mill goals.
• Plans all work orders by breaking them into steps, sequencing, identifying parts/tools, and obtaining drawings/specifications.
• Estimates costs for work orders as required.
• Initiates and plans work orders for repairs from preventive maintenance findings and secures approvals.
• Develops standard work for recurring tasks.
• Maintains equipment history records (closed work orders, PM checklists, drawings, modifications).
• Relief Maintenance Manager in the absence of the Maintenance Manager.
• Requires adaptability to work with all plant departments to achieve mill goals.
