Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Planner to plan and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance at our Wisconsin site.

You will create detailed work orders, coordinate with production teams, and maintain comprehensive equipment records. The role emphasizes reliability improvements, performance analysis, and collaboration with purchasing to ensure parts availability.

Qualifications

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
  • Experience planning maintenance in manufacturing or industrial settings is required.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methods is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
  • Create detailed work orders with required labor, tools, and materials.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with production, technicians, and supervisors.
  • Maintain equipment records, maintenance history, and work orders.
  • Ensure parts and materials are available by working with purchasing and inventory.
  • Analyze equipment performance and recommend reliability improvements.
  • Track and report maintenance KPIs (downtime, work orders, costs).
  • Coordinate outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including PPE and lockout/tagout.
  • Drive continuous improvement to reduce downtime and improve equipment efficiency.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical degree or certification in maintenance, engineering, or related field preferred.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of maintenance planning or related experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
