Job summary

AMPI is seeking a skilled maintenance planner/ technician to support daily operations at our Portage facility. The role focuses on maintaining parts inventory, coordinating with mechanics, and ensuring reliable equipment availability through preventive maintenance and timely repairs.

You will implement 5S, manage a budget, work with contractors, utilize CMMS software, and ensure OSHA and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree from a two-year college in a related technical field or certificate/diploma from a trade school preferred.
• Five or more years of maintenance/ mechanical maintenance or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing accurate inventory of parts and tools; stock efficiently and prepare purchase orders.
• Collaborate with mechanics to receive parts for repairs and maintenance.
• Coordinate with maintenance and operations for timely service and equipment availability.
• Improve maintenance shop efficiency and cleanliness using 5S: Sort, Set-in-order, Standardize, Shine, Sustain.
• Develop and maintain an accessible system for parts/tools inventory.
