Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Maintenance Planner / Scheduler for our Holland, MI facility. The role focuses on planning and scheduling maintenance work to ensure safe operations, regulatory compliance, and asset reliability.

You will serve as a subject matter expert in Plex-based CMMS/ERP maintenance activities, coordinating across maintenance, operations, engineering, and contractors to maximize wrench time and schedule compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with three years of journeyman experience or equivalent higher-level education in mechanical/electrical engineering and/or industrial maintenance planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with emphasis in logistics, planning, maintenance systems, or reliability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, corrective, routine, shutdown, outage, and improvement work for production equipment, utilities, and facilities.
• Build complete job packages with scope, labor estimates, parts, tools, and safety requirements.
• Develop and maintain a weekly maintenance schedule with labor loading and priority-based scheduling.
• Coordinate planning for internal crafts, contractors, and third-party service providers.
• Maintain CMMS/ERP data, PM task lists, standard job plans, and historical work order feedback.
• Drive continuous improvement in maintenance systems, processes, and performance.
