Job summary

O-I is seeking a Maintenance Planner to schedule plant maintenance and coordinate with production to minimize downtime. The role involves documenting upcoming work, assembling parts lists, and improving maintenance processes for efficiency and waste reduction.

The ideal candidate will have strong computer literacy, knowledge of mechanical parts, project management experience, and the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or Bachelor degree in a technical discipline preferred.
• Previous industrial maintenance experience is desired.
• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Job Change Coordinator and production staff to plan maintenance during downtime and maintain a planned maintenance schedule for the facility.
• Provide documentation of upcoming work, including parts lists / kits required.
• Review and improve the maintenance and planning processes to improve efficiency and remove waste, including but not limited to cost, manning and materials.
• Understand storeroom inventories, min/max, and work with storeroom personnel to manage parts inventory and prioritize ordering against available M&E budgets.
• Interface with the safety observation, walk-and-talk, and near-miss processes within the plant to ensure alignment of maintenance resources and activities to improve employee safety and environmental compliance.
