Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Planner to organize and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance in our Wisconsin manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate with production teams, technicians, and supervisors to keep equipment running efficiently.   • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical degree or certification in maintenance, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • At least 3 years of maintenance planning or related experience in manufacturing or industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
  • Create detailed work orders with required labor, tools, and materials.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with production, technicians, and supervisors.
  • Maintain equipment records, maintenance history, and work orders.
  • Ensure parts and materials are available by working with purchasing and inventory.
  • Analyze equipment performance and recommend reliability improvements.
  • Track and report maintenance KPIs (downtime, work orders, costs).
  • Coordinate outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including PPE and lockout/tagout.
  • Drive continuous improvement to reduce downtime and improve equipment efficiency.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Required Skills



  • Knowledge of maintenance planning, preventive maintenance, and equipment reliability.

  • Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methods.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and project management skills.


Education



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Technical degree or certification in maintenance, engineering, or related field preferred.


Experience



  • At least 3 years of maintenance planning or related experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
