Job summary

O-I Glass, located in Seattle, WA, is seeking a maintenance planning professional to coordinate downtime, plan maintenance, and document work orders. You will collaborate with production and the Job Change Coordinator to ensure parts are available and expenditures stay within budget.

The role focuses on improving efficiency, reducing waste, and aligning activities with safety and environmental compliance programs. A strong maintenance background and SAP literacy are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required and technical discipline preferred.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing environments welcomed.
  • Experience with SAP and computer literacy highly desirable.

Job description

Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Job Change Coordinator and production staff to plan maintenance during downtime and maintain a planned maintenance schedule for the facility.
  • Provide documentation of upcoming work, including parts lists/kits required.
  • Review and improve the maintenance and planning processes to improve efficiency and remove waste, including but not limited to cost, manning, and materials.
  • Understand storeroom inventories, min/max, and work with storeroom personnel to manage parts inventory and prioritize ordering against available M&E budgets.
  • Interface with the safety observation, walk‑and‑talk, and near‑miss processes within the plant to ensure alignment of maintenance resources and activities to improve employee safety and environmental compliance.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to hold people accountable.
  • Plant maintenance background in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of basic mechanical parts (motors, gear gearboxesrings).
  • Previous experience managing projects and meeting deadlines.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma required.
  • Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred.
  • Experience working as a mechanic or in a hands‑on maintenance capacity.
  • Computer literacy/proficiency, experience using SAP highly desired.
  • Experience working in a union environment is preferred.
Additional Information

Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $129,000 and includes a possible 12% quarterly incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
