Printpack is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Maintenance Planner for the VR2 plant in Villa Rica, GA. This position is responsible for working with Maintenance, Production, Warehouse, and Materials Management in estimating, planning, and scheduling repairs and preventative maintenance needs for all equipment within our facility.
Minimum Requirements & Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate Technology degree preferred.
- Advanced PRISM knowledge for creating work orders and planning reports is required.
- Working knowledge and experience in basic mechanical/electrical practices in the industrial field.
- Good understanding of maintenance processes, repair/test methods of extrusion equipment, and extrusion terminology.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Ability to use and read measuring instruments like rulers and tape measures.
- Strong integrity and judgment skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills with all personnel levels.
- Knowledge of Google, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred.
- Customer service orientation and a concern for excellence.
Key Responsibilities & Competencies:
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Production, Warehouse, and Materials Management for estimating, planning, and scheduling repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Participate in PRISM CAM (Capital Asset Management) training for maintenance staff.
- Assist with or lead special projects such as PRISM CAM updates and procurement.
- Report daily and monthly metrics including downtime, work hours, and safety work orders.
- Create detailed work packages for corrective and preventive maintenance.
- Manage and track all PM work orders, including scheduling and scope.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Lead on job planning and unplanned work.
- Coordinate contractor activities, ensuring safety permits and compliance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the PM program.
- Schedule and verify annual equipment inspections.
- Provide backup for Maintenance Lead as needed.
- Plan, record, file, and audit maintenance activities and calibrations.
- Prepare parts and materials for upcoming PMs in coordination with storeroom staff.
- Maintain and update the PM schedule in PRISM.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the maintenance manager.
Safety and Food Safety/Defense:
- Comply with all environmental, health, and safety policies.
- Participate in safety meetings and hazard assessments.
- Handle chemicals safely and ensure PPE compliance.
- Serve as department representative for safety and risk assessments.
- Food Safety/Defense:
- Understand and adhere to food safety procedures and inspections.
- Maintain hygiene and serve as department representative for food safety.
Additional Requirements:
- Internal applicants must have a recent performance review of 'Performer' or higher, no recent disciplinary actions, and be in their current role for over 120 days.
