Job summary

Block Multifamily Group is seeking a Service Manager to oversee all maintenance operations across the property portfolio. You will lead the maintenance team, manage vendors, protect asset value, and ensure safety, quality, and resident satisfaction through proactive programs.

Responsibilities include scheduling preventive maintenance, unit turns, budgeting support with the Community Manager, and enforcing OSHA standards while maintaining curb appeal and safe access for residents.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.
• Experience leading a maintenance team and coordinating with vendors.
• On-call availability and ability to respond to emergencies anytime.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily maintenance operations, service requests, and unit turns.
• Recruit, train, and develop maintenance team members for high performance.
• Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee vendor relationships, bidding, scheduling, and performance oversight.
• Support budgeting decisions with Community Manager and ensure compliance with OSHA.
