Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a versatile Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team in Encinitas, California. You will perform building and grounds maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, hydraulics and related upkeep to ensure safe, reliable operations at our site.

Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, repairing facility equipment, and using metalworking tools as needed. Candidates should have at least 1 year of maintenance experience, a high school diploma, and

Qualifications

• 1 year of maintenance experience.
• Experience with building maintenance is a plus.
• Drywall and carpentry experience.
• Certification in skilled trades
• Minimum of 3 years related experience with mechanical, plumbing, and building systems.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, determine, and perform maintenance and repairs on solar equipment and facility items.
• Perform machining operations, layouts and sketches as required.
• Use tools including acetylene/oxygen torches for soldering, brazing, or cutting.
• Troubleshoot and repair low voltage control circuits up to 110V AC and 24V DC.
