Job summary

Trident Seafoods in Alaska is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to operate, repair and maintain a variety of machinery and equipment, including engines, hydraulics, and conveyor systems. You will be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety adherence in a dynamic seafood processing setting.

Ideal candidates have at least two years’ mechanical experience or a trades school diploma, with knowledge of hydraulic systems, motors, pumps, and marine equipment.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience as a mechanic or trades school degree.
• Knowledge of forklifts, pumps, hydraulics, motors, and marine equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate, repair and maintain machinery and equipment including engines, motors, pneumatic and conveyor systems, gears, hydraulics and other machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance and locate sources of problems using measuring instruments.
• Lubricate and clean parts and equipment; use hand and power tools safely.
• Follow safety procedures and Trident protocols; notify supervisors of issues.
• Inspect key components, troubleshoot malfunctions, and replace defective parts.
• Maintain rolling stock equipment and ensure proper operation.
