Job summary

Trident Seafoods is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Alaska to operate, repair, and maintain a variety of machinery and equipment including engines, motors, conveyors, gears, and hydraulics. The role requires basic tools proficiency and a minimum of three months’ related experience or training.

The incumbent will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, lubricate, and ensure safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge and proficiency with tools and equipment; at least three months of related experience or training.
• Troubleshooting mechanical/electrical experience preferred.
• Reading and understanding simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Responsibilities

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance according to schedule and direction.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and applying precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Lubricates and cleans parts, equipment and machinery.
• Uses hand and power tools in a safe manner.
• Learns and follows all safety procedures and Trident Protocols
• Notifies designated personnel of safety incidents or risks per policy.
