Job summary

Trident Seafoods seeks a Maintenance Mechanic I to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and electrical equipment across production lines. The role emphasizes developing foundational maintenance skills while supporting plant operations through preventive maintenance and repairs.

Candidate will work under supervision in a production environment, with opportunities to grow in a safety-conscious, food-grade facility. Strong teamwork and basic tool usage are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year in industrial maintenance or completion of a trades program.
• Able to operate hand and power tools.
• Willing to obtain forklift certification.
• Experience in food manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Observe equipment in operation to locate trouble.
• Assist dismantling devices to access parts.
• Perform preventive maintenance per schedule.
• Repair or replace basic mechanical components under supervision.
• Lubricate and clean parts and machinery.
• Test and adjust equipment to meet specs.
• Assist with installation and setup of equipment.
• Follow safety, food safety, and environmental requirements.
