Job summary

Hexcel Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic 1 - ACAP for the Casa Grande, AZ location. Start rate: $34.15 per hour during New Hire Orientation (90 days), rising to $35.95 per hour thereafter with a $1.75 shift premium. Shift is 2x2x5x5 with times 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Overtime is often required. The role includes performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on Acousti-Cap equipment and related processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in mechanical maintenance.
• Technical degree may substitute for 1 year of experience.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Valid Driver License.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, blueprints and drawings.
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate clearly.
• Ability to perform basic math and geometry.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, analyzes, and improves deficiencies of Acousti-Cap equipment and process using hand tools.
• Measures dimensions with micrometers and calipers and tests units to ensure conformance.
• Diagnoses machine malfunctions by listening to operating machines and determines repairs.
• Performs repairs on ACAP Work Cell and Engineered Products equipment.
• Replaces hydraulic and pneumatic parts and other components as needed.
• Repairs pumps and performs basic pipefitting and layout tasks.
• May work weekends/holidays and must have full set of essential tools.
• Performs equipment checks to ensure quality and within specification.
• Performs prescribed preventive maintenance per PM instructions and schedules.
